Useful Tips For Cutting Your Own Hair
Have you ever thought of cutting your own hair? It’s definitely something not everyone could do. Although we strongly advise not to try this at home and to go instead to a professional, if you insist on doing it yourself there are a few things you should know.
First of all, you can’t expect to be great right from the start. You’ll have to practice before you start cutting your hair. We’re not talking about practicing on someone else but about doing your own bangs or trims at first, just so you get some experience. Also, don’t use kitchen scissors or anything like that. If you’re serious about this, then you’ll need to invest in some good tools. Get professional scissors and a comb. It’s much easier to get a nice haircut when you’re using the right utensils. It’s also better for the hair.
Before you start cutting, you’ll have to prep the hair. So wash your hair, use conditioner and make sure it’s not tangled. Comb the hair straight and section off the top part. Use hair clips to secure it up and do the same thing with the side parts. Cut and repeat until you’re done with all the sections. It’s best to do this on wet hair and to leave it a little longer just to be sure.
