Tips to help you stop biting your beautiful nails
If you have the habit of biting your nails then you most likely don’t do it because you like it but because you can’t stop. Don’t worry, you’re not hopeless. But, if you’re serious about stopping, then the first thing you have to do is make the decision. If you feel determined, then it all gets easier.
Keep your nails pretty and you’ll think twice before ruining them. If this doesn’t work, then you can try wearing bad-tasting nail polish. The bad taste should be an incentive strong enough to make you stop. But you might not need more than that. Usually this is a habit that you’ve acquired in order to release stress and it’s something that you do in certain situations.
You can try to replace the habit with something else. For example, you can chew gum. If you don’t just want to replace a bad habit with another, just as bad, then find another way to get rid of stress like going for a walk.
You know how cats are trained? They don’t respond to fear but they respond to rewards. You can try something similar. Reward yourself and celebrate a day without biting your nails, a week or a month. Start with something small and make the rewards more substantial over time. You’ll reach a point when you’ll forget all about biting your nails.
