The Alon Livné Spring 2014 RTW Collection Is Both Vintage And Futuristic
How would you combine two completely different styles such as, let’s say vintage and modern? Well, it all depends on the field. For example, if we’re talking fashion, there’s no better place to see that than in the Alon Livné Spring 2014 RTW Collection. It’s a collection that definitely stands out and for all the good reasons.
The strategy this year was to bring back the 80s but in a futuristic manner. It’s not something that’s easy to do, especially on the runway. What’s interesting and beautiful about this collection is its accessibility. It’s made of creations wearable for the everyday woman and it’s not overly theatrical and sophisticated like some collections. Of course, this doesn’t mean it doesn’t have a strong impact on the viewer. In fact, it’s a detail that makes it stand out even more.
Alon Livné’s creations are delightful indeed. They have an almost sculptural look and yet they remain very feminine and delicate. What’s also interesting is the fact that the color palette is actually quite simple yet it’s exotic and eye-catching. I particularly love the way the pastels were integrated into the mix and how they make each creation look fresh and delicate.
This is one of the most interesting modern collections we’ve seen so far. It has that futuristic vibe that definitely makes you want to wear one of these amazing gowns. At the same time, it has a strong influence from the 80s and this combination makes it very fashion-forward.
